Intolerance

They came in flying low

through that New York morning sky

With God in their hip pocket

and self rightousness in their eyes

They knew what they were doing

was God's will and it was just

... and all the people that they

killed that day

were pummeled into dust

with Intolerance

But it's never been a stranger

Intolerance lives right here

From the color of our faces

the way we live and things

that we hold dear

If you don't look or

think or talk like us

we don't have time to give

And you'd better watch your

back bud

or we'll get you were

you live

with Intolerance

You can see it everywhere

everyday

The irony makes me cry

They say they speak with

love

then expound

what they despise

Embracing ignorance and fear

never slow down

never yield

While standing firm and propping

up their God

to be a shield

of Intolerance

On the radio and TV

on street corners

spread the news

Time has come to pull the plug

on all the radicals

Muslims and Jews

Has the God that made the

Earth and Sky

with hope of

Heaven above

declared that

Gays should be the people

that are hated

for their love?

That's Intolerance

Don't use God to

justify hate

Don't deny anyone

free choice

Don't be fooled by leaders

When you speak

use YOUR voice

I didn't write this song to

point a finger at you

and I don't sing it to be

"Arty"

I just remember Jesus

when He was not

a political party

of Intolerance

Below is a picture of my daughter Jessica (Blue hat) and her friend Alysha Salt on their way out to "decorate" a friend's car.

Here, Jessica and Alysha try on some new clothes!

Alysha was killed by a drunk driver August 23rd 2004.

She was only 19 years old.

Please drive safely

and responsibly.

Never drive if you've been drinking.

The life you save may be your own.

Alysha would like that.

They killed off our heros
